Pacific Elements Yoga Classes

Pacific Elements Yoga offers a variety of drop in classes to suit all levels of practitioners from absolute beginner to advance. Please read through class descriptions to determine which class is most suitable for your level of experience.

All classes will be held at Coastal Bliss Yoga Studio located at Unit F - 1180 Pacific Rim Hwy (Above Studio One at Outside Break)

Vinyasa Flow

 All Levels

A flowing class with a focus on breath synchronized movement to encourage greater body awareness and increased energy within fluid posture sequences. Modifications will be offerered to allow for different levels of practitioners within the class. Pace is steady and intermediate level postures will be explored.

 

Power Flow

 All Levels

Power yoga is a fun and  vigorous style of yoga that is taught in a continuous flow style to increase energy and vitality while building strength and stamina. The emphasis on breath initiated movements helps to cultivate greater focus and attention while the mindful progression of postures allows for deeper opening and increased flexibility. This class is open to All Levels but may not be suitable for the absolute beginner due to it's faster pace. Modifications will be offered to suit individual students where possible while allowing everyone to move together as a group. 

 

Moving into Stillness

 All Levels

This all levels class includes simple flowing asana sequences, restorative posture work, pranamayama (breath exerciese), mantra (sacred sound), mudra (intentional gesture) and seated meditation. The focus is on creating balance through the five subtle bodies or Koshas- physical, energetic, mental/emotional, intellectual, and spiritual.

 

Anusara-InspiredTM

 All Levels

Anusara® Yoga is an uplifting style of Hatha yoga that unifies a Tantric philosophy of intrinsic goodness with Universal Principles of Alignment. Each class is woven around a heart centered theme and can include a wide variety of postures from the Anusara® Yoga Syllabus.

All Levels Anusara-InspiredTM classes will focus on the fundamentals of Anusara® Yoga.

Hatha

 Level 1

This is the ideal beginner class. Focus is on learning the foundational poses to build strength, increase flexibility, and foster greater focus.

Class can be modified to suit pre or post natal students. Please arrive early to speak to the teacher if you are expecting and want to join class.

 

Vinyasa Flow

 Level 2

Students wanting to attend Level 2 Vinyasa Flow should be comfortable with the foundational yoga postures and feel ready to move at a stronger pace. Intermediate to Advanced level poses will be worked into posture sequences.

Not recommended for pregnant women.

Anusara-InspiredTM

 Level 2

Level 2 Anusara-InspiredTM classes are for those who have a working knowledge of the foundational poses and are comfortable exploring intermediate/advanced posture sequences.

These classes will run once monthly and will offer us a chance to dive deeper into our study and practice of the advanced postures, have fun with other like minded yoga practictioners, and be inspired by each other.
